Canine Good Citizen Training
The American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Is your dog up for the challenge? We can prepare the two of you for this exciting test.
Your dog will need to know basic obedience commands like Down, Stay, and Come When Called, but in addition she will also need to be confident enough to perform tasks such as walking politely through a crowd, sitting calmly while being petted, and patiently waiting for her owner to return during a supervised seperation. Once your dog is trained, tested, and certified as an AKC Canine Good Citizen, you may find that a whole new world of possiblities open up for the two of you.
